An INTEGRATIVE
approach to THERAPY
Therapists often engage in cross-referral to ensure clients receive the most appropriate care for their specific needs. This approach ensures that clients benefit from a therapist whose skills align with their challenges, leading to more effective treatment. Cross-referral also creates a strong professional network, allowing therapists to support each and refer on with confidence when their diary is full.

Loren Brookman
Therapist and Trainee Psychologist
Loren offers an empathic and safe space that allows clients to navigate challenging thoughts and emotions. Loren adopts an integrative approach to therapy, in where she ensures that different psychological tools and modalities are incorporated to ensure the therapy delivered is person centred. Loren wants to ensure that each client has a therapeutic space that allows them to truly experience their journey of finding answers and realisations that can aid in their healing. This person-centred approach used, allows the client to lead each therapy session, ensuring that the focus of each, meets the client’s individual’s needs. I offer an integrative approach to therapy, which includes cognitive behavioural therapy and an existential, phenomenological approach. Loren has over 5 years’ experience of working with clients delivering 1:1 therapy and counselling. This includes working with children, adolescences and adults in a variety of settings. Loren has prior knowledge and insight with working with both internal and external pressures people may experience in various life settings, as well working with clients with more specific mental health diagnosis, including neurodivergent diagnosis, anxiety, depression, OCD and bi-polar. One of the main goals of therapy will be for clients to identify choices that allow for them to reach the lifestyle goals they desire, while identifying coping strategies or behaviour formulations that allow for each client’s objectives to be achieved. Loren is currently studying towards a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy. Loren is a registered trainee psychologist with the HCPC and BPS and a registered therapist with the BACP.

Rachel Charters
Counsellor and DBT informed Therapist
I’m a Level 5 qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with a background in primary school teaching. I have a deep passion for supporting teens, young adults, and adults through life’s challenges. My approach is grounded in kindness, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves a space to be heard without fear of judgment. With a wealth of life experience working with adults and teens I have a gentle, collaborative style supporting clients to work through difficulties at their own pace, exploring thoughts and feelings while finding a way forward together. I believe emotional and physical health are deeply connected, and even small shifts in how we think, or feel can bring meaningful change across many areas of life. Sometimes we put therapy off, thinking we should be able to manage on our own, or we simply don’t prioritise our own wellbeing. But gaining insight into where certain behaviours or patterns come from can be transformative helping us understand ourselves better, shift unhelpful habits, and strengthen our relationships with ourselves and those around us. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking for a safe space to talk, I’m here to walk alongside you patiently and with care towards greater clarity, confidence, and calm.

Taking a personalised approach, I draw on several different counselling modalities and psychological theories, working with each client to develop a therapeutic relationship in which their thoughts and feelings may be explored and supporting them in finding their own solutions. I am committed to helping you to work towards increased self-awareness, a greater sense of self belief and ultimately to live a more fulfilling life.
