Gemma Taylor
Pluralistic · CBT-informed · DBT-informed · Neurodivergence ·
Gemma works with both young people and adults, with a particular specialism in neurodivergence - including ADHD and autism. She is also experienced in supporting those with emotional dysregulation, complex emotional needs, and those who have faced long-term adversity or systemic disadvantage. Gemma enjoys working with people who feel that more traditional talking therapy has not worked for them.

Gemma works pluralistically, drawing on CBT-informed approaches, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation. She has a particular interest in DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy), a structured, skills-based approach that many clients find empowering, especially those who have felt that talking therapies alone have not quite got them where they need to be. She warmly welcomes clients who are looking for something a little more structured and active.

Gemma has over 20 years of professional experience across probation, youth services, careers guidance, and organisational development. She brings a practical, results-focused energy to her work, alongside genuine warmth and a deep commitment to supporting people who face significant challenges.

She brings an authentic, lived understanding of neurodivergent experience to her practice that many clients find immediately reassuring. She is currently working towards a Level 5 qualification in counselling for neurodivergence.
