Sliding Scale: £25 - £35 per session
We understand that everyone's financial situation is different. During your initial assessment call, we'll discuss what you can comfortably afford within our sliding scale. Your fee will be based on your individual circumstances, ensuring therapy remains accessible without causing financial strain.
Limited Free Places
We also offer a small number of fully-funded places for those experiencing financial hardship. These are allocated on a case-by-case basis during the assessment process.

Who Provides the Counselling?
You'll work with one of our counsellors on placement who are developing their practice through supervised clinical hours. Many of our placement counsellors are already qualified therapists pursuing further studies such as Masters degrees or PhDs, while others are in the final part of completing their Level 4 or Level 5 qualifications.
All counsellors on placement work under regular clinical supervision from Jacqui Vaughan, a qualified Clinical Supervisor (Dip.C.Sup), ensuring you receive safe, ethical, and effective support.
Whether newly training or already experienced, all our placement counsellors bring genuine commitment to supporting others and work to the highest professional standards.

Anita Lee
Trainee Integrative Counsellor
Anita is a trainee Pluralistic Counsellor in her final year of studying for a Level 5 Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Surrey. Anita is passionate about creating a safe, empathetic space for clients to talk freely without judgment about their thoughts, feelings and experiences. She believes the trusting relationship held with the client enables them to work together to bring a deeper self- awareness and understanding which can lead to developing positive life long coping strategies. Studying Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, Anita believes her training helps her offer the most suitable therapy tailored to your unique needs, supporting you through life's inevitable changes.

Laura Roberts

Laura is in her final year of studying for a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching at the University of East London. Laura believes that clients are the experts in their own lives. Her role is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings together. She works collaboratively, helping you make sense of your experiences and find the connections that lead to greater self-awareness and self-acceptance. Building a strong, trusted relationship is at the heart of how Laura works. She listens deeply and seeks to understand your world as you see it. Together, you’ll focus not just on where you are now, but also on what’s possible, helping you build the skills and confidence to navigate life’s challenges and support your wellbeing in the long term. Before training as a counsellor, Laura spent 20 years in the corporate world, supporting people through career transitions, workplace challenges, wellbeing concerns, and burnout. These experiences have shaped her understanding of the many pressures life can bring.

Ian Gaitley

Trainee Integrative Counsellor
Ian is a professinal coach and a fourth-year counselling student currently completing clinical placement hours toward a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. He offers an integrative approach to counselling that includes several therapeutic modalities, including person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theory, and existentialism. This integrative approach allows him to tailor his therapeutic style to meet each client’s unique needs and circumstances. Ian works to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where his clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace. He aims to facilitate change in ways that respect individual differences, values, and experiences. He believes everyone deserves to feel accepted and understood as their authentic self, and he strives to create a validating environment for all clients regardless of their background, identity, or orientation. Ian’s approach is informed by an understanding that personal growth often involves examining our relationships with both others and ourselves, and he is committed to supporting clients to navigate these important relationships. Ian’s background includes 18 years of service within the armed forces, which has provided him with a deep understanding of the challenges that service members, veterans, and their families face. This experience has given him insight into issues such as transition difficulties, managing trauma, and leadership stress. He understands the importance of resilience, structure, and practical coping strategies while recognising when flexibility and adaptation are needed.

Bronwyn Steenekamp

Bronwyn is an integrative counsellor completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of East London. Bronwyn also holds an MSc in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southampton. Before training as a counsellor, Bronwyn spent several years working directly with young people and adults in challenging frontline settings, including NHS community care, youth mental health transition services, and homelessness support. These experiences have given her a genuine understanding of vulnerability, resilience, and the courage it takes to ask for help. Bronwyn believes that every person carries the capacity for growth and change, and that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation from which that becomes possible. Her role is to offer a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and safe enough to explore what is troubling them, at their own pace and in their own way. Her approach is grounded in person-centred values such as empathy, authenticity, and deep respect for each client’s unique experience. She works collaboratively, helping clients make sense of their thoughts and feelings, reconnect with their own strengths, and develop a greater sense of self-worth and agency. Bronwyn's research on compassion fatigue in homelessness services was published in the Community Mental Health Journal.

Blaze Bailey

Blaze is a pluralistic counsellor currently studying for a Level 5 Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Alongside counselling, Blaze is a professional coach certified by the University of Cambridge, as well as a resiliency practitioner and hypnotherapist. Blaze brings warmth, empathy and a gentle, collaborative approach to her work, supporting clients as they move toward meaningful change and more fulfilling lives. She is passionate about the benefits of talking therapies in helping clients gain greater self-awareness, self-acceptance and a clearer sense of purpose. Blaze adopts a pluralistic approach to counselling, drawing from Humanistic, Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural theories. She believes that individuals can thrive when offered a safe, non-judgemental and supportive space to explore their thoughts, emotions and experiences. With 14 years’ experience in corporate law across Canada, the Cayman Islands and the UK, she has developed deep insight into stress management, work-life balance and navigating major life transitions. She also brings personal understanding of long-term health conditions through caring for a child with type 1 diabetes for 16 years.
