Accessing DBT
What we offer
DBT at Door94 may be a good fit if you are living with BPD or EUPD, experiencing significant emotional dysregulation, including as part of ADHD.
At Door94, DBT is offered by Jacqui Vaughan, an experienced integrative counsellor and DBT therapist with specialist training in emotional dysregulation, ADHD, and trauma. This means our approach goes beyond a standard DBT programme, we understand the unique ways that ADHD, trauma history, and emotional sensitivity can intersect, and we tailor the work accordingly.

DBT asks a great deal of the people who engage with it. It is active, skills-based work that continues between sessions as well as within them, and that commitment needs to be genuine and freely chosen, not simply hoped for. Together, we look honestly at what you want your life to look like, what has been getting in the way, and whether DBT is the right fit for where you are right now. This isn't about being assessed as suitable or unsuitable; it's about making sure that when we begin, we begin well with a shared understanding of your goals and a real foundation of trust to build on.

A Note on ADHD and Emotional Dysregulation
Emotional dysregulation is one of the most challenging and least-discussed aspects of ADHD. If you find yourself overwhelmed by intense emotions, struggling to recover after emotional episodes, or feeling like your reactions are out of proportion to events . DBT skills can make a significant difference. Jacqui's dual specialism in DBT and ADHD means this work is thoughtfully integrated, not simply adapted.
"Jacqui is a great listener and takes time to understand the situation, and adapts our sessions dependant on what she feels would be beneficial for me, and her judgement has never failed."

DBT Pricing Structure

DBT Assessment
£100

Before beginning any DBT work, we start with a comprehensive 60 minute assessment. Before any therapeutic work begins, we take time to understand you as a whole person: your history, your goals, and what has brought you to this point. Crucially, this session is also where we explore your commitment to the therapy itself. From this, we can agree on a treatment plan that is right for you.
The assessment is a required first step for all new DBT clients.

Individual DBT Informed Psychotherapy Sessions
